Masonry Restoration: Gulf Cone Building, Dallas
8235 Douglas AVE, Suite 720, Dallas, TX 75225
Bond Façade Services restored the historic Gulf Cone Building in Dallas, Texas. The building's rich history, along with it's many phases of operation and use, is what caused it's induction into the National Register of Historic Places, which deems it worthy of preservation due to it's historic recognition.
Originally built in 1903 by the Hughes Brothers, it was put to use as a plant for manufacturing vinegar, baking soda, preserves, jellies and candy. In 1941, the Gulf Cone Company took over and transferred it's operations to the building and manufactured ice cream cones at the building until the 1990s. As of recent, Bond Façade began it's historic building restoration to bring the Texas building back to it's original beauty and appropriate industrial look as Norman Alston Architects developed a design that turns it into a multi-family living space.
